THE ARCHITECT'S EGO

"I would not have called it ego, maybe because of all the negative connotations; but truth to be said, a project does indeed need a strong enough character to extract the right brief, ask the difficult questions and keep the end goal in sight! Not the architect’s own but the project he or she is delivering for their client.

As architects, we are trained to know how to materialise movement through spaces, how to place make and facilitate the future enjoyment of buildings but let’s not be mistaken, the success of a project is in fact directly connected to the client -architect partnership. It is therefore logical to place value on the clients rather than the projects."
