CANADA WATER LIBRARY
"Our principal Cristina took these images during a visit with some of her colleagues at CZWG. She then made of of her contributions to the MIMOA project where she regularly shares her architectural finds under the pseudonym of Burutapen:

“The CZWG building provides a very contextual response to a well known typology. The first thing one notices is the brave building line, projecting over the edge of one the last surviving memories of the busy commercial docks which played such a vital role in linking Britain, with the world from, as early as, the seventeenth century.

Then the circulation takes you, quite literally, upwards in the most Platonic way, from the darkness of the underground to the light of a relaxed interior where traditional and contemporary sources of knowledge cohabit happily.

Finally, at the height of your journey, the large windows and balconies allow you to look back and appreciate the Canada Water backdrop.”
