PLANNING PERMISSION GRANTED

We’re very pleased to share that one of our recent projects has received full planning approval this week. 🎉

Anyone considering extending your home, this might offer some useful insight:

Bigger doesn’t always mean better. The most successful projects often strike a careful balance between space, function, and value. Sometimes, a smaller and more strategic extension delivers greater impact by avoiding unnecessary complexity, optimising investment, and leaving scope for future owners to make their mark.

For this property, located in an area noted for its biodiversity, our design approach prioritised sensitivity to the garden and surrounding habitat while avoiding the challenges of party wall agreements.

By reconfiguring the ground floor, we introduced a more welcoming street-facing entrance, a convenient powder room, an expanded living area, improved storage, and a new kitchen with a dedicated utility space.

Upstairs, we managed to create a fourth bedroom and an ensuite for the master bedroom, adding velue while enhancing natural light and storage throughout the home.

Once complete, the result will be a calmer, more energy-efficient, and beautifully tailored home for our clients and we couldn’t be happier for them because they are lovely. ☺️
